Backend Developer

The position:

We are looking for a high-calibre Backend Developer to join our company in Limassol, Cyprus. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced business that provides a next generation financial platform. If you enjoy solution architecture, automation, working with cutting edge technology and helping define and steer the technical direction of a new global brand, this role is definitely for you.



The main responsibilities of the position include:

Developing and maintaining the company’s cloud based P2P lending platform and its supporting software, following best practices of scalable and efficient software architecture and development, including SOLID principles and design patterns.

Implementing new features that are communicated through business requirements

Writing effective REST APIs

Writing clean and testable code

Following emerging technologies, frameworks and best practices

Maintenance: taking care of tickets raised by internal users



Main requirements:

BSc/MSc in computer science, engineering, or any other relevant degree

3+ years of solid work experience in software development in GoLang or in any other modern backend language (e.g., Java, C#, C/C++)

Very good understanding of data structures and algorithms, relational databases, unit testing with mocks, event-driven and service oriented architectures

A keen interest in benchmarking and optimization

Familiarity with Git, CI/CD and virtualization

Ability to research and adapt new technologies that add value to the team and the product

Excellent English written and oral skills

Problem solving and analytical skills

Interest in personal development

Ability to work independently when needed and integrate well within a team

Experience in GoLang programming language

The position:

The main responsibilities of the position include:

Managing Windows/Linux servers and endpoints

Managing AWS Cloud environment

Managing backups and patch management

Maintaining security solutions and performing security hardening on systems

Conducting routine audits and health checks

Researching & developing new solutions according to business needs



Main requirements:

BSc/MSc in Information Technology or any other relevant field

At least 2 years of experience in a similar position

Knowledge of various information system technologies (Windows/Linux systems, Active Directory, databases, Amazon WorkSpaces, etc.)

Good knowledge of security principles and technologies such as firewalls, AV/EDR, VPNs, etc.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Self-motivated with keen attention to detail

A keen interest in benchmarking and optimization



The following will be considered an advantage:

Experience in managing AWS cloud technologies

Microsoft and AWS certifications will be considered a plus
